You won't find a course with more character in the Isle of Man or a friendlier club anywhere than King Edward Bay. Designed by Old Tom Morris in the late 19th Century, this par-67 heathland links boasts stunning coastal views running from Douglas Bay along the Island's east coast to Groudle.
I have many happy memories of first playing the original 18 hole “Howstrake” course in the 1960s. In the years that followed KEB has seen many changes and since 2023 the Club is now run by the members. The course is maintained by our dedicated green-keeping staff ably assisted by our team of enthusiastic volunteers.
Golfers of all abilities will find the 5,231 yard layout a unique and exciting challenge set in a wonderful setting.
The course has seen major changes over recent years with the redesigned 8th becoming one of the toughest par fours in Manx golf. New greens on the 7th, 10th, 16th and 17th have also presented a fresh challenge to players with even more developments set to take place.
All visitors and new members are made to feel welcome as the club prides itself on its hospitality and social nature. Buggies are available.
We look forward to welcoming you at King Edward Bay, whether it's just for a social knock or you're a new member, and can guarantee you a memorable and cherished golfing experience and much more.
Ask anyone — the KEB Ladies are a wonderfully friendly and welcoming group of golfers. We may not be the largest club or have the longest course, but if you’re thinking of giving golf a try, you’ll be warmly taken under our wing. We love helping players of all abilities develop their skills and confidence, whatever their level.
Ladies are welcome to play on any day of the week, with our main competitions held on Saturdays. We offer both morning and afternoon tee times, making it easy to fit golf around busy lives.
Our course remains playable throughout the winter, and many newcomers have found our Winter Golf Package to be the perfect introduction to the game. From there, ladies can move to full membership in April and enjoy 18 holes when they feel ready.
We’re a very sociable club, with regular outings, away days to other Island courses, and annual off-Island golf trips — great opportunities to play new courses and enjoy good company.
We also stay connected through regular messages and newsletters, so even if you can’t play every week, you’ll always feel part of the club.
Take a look around our website to explore the course hole by hole, view our fixture list, or find contact details for our committee members. Or simply email us at enquirieskebgc@gmail.com — we’d love to hear from you.
